If I'm not a Christian and I don't believe in God, but I am good person - not killing, not stealing, helping people and everything else that Bible teaches us, everything, except believing in Jesus, where will I go when I die - Heaven or Hell?

robtheman - I'm not a Christian, I don't worry about Heaven and Hell, cause I don't believe in them. I just want to know what the Christians think about that.

wondering... - I am sinner, and I don't consider myself as a good person. It's hypotetic quetion, not especially for me. I am not worried about where I'll go when I die. I know I'll get reborn.

robin rmsclvr25 - "Not even me"?!? You must believe that you are better than the most people to say "Not even me".

Interesting question. According to the bible, you have to accept Jesus at the time of death and then you will be forgiven and allowed to paradise. However, I find it very hard to believe that someone like Ghandi is going to hell. You can never do wrong by being a good, honest and kind person.

Dear Sabina,
How do you know your goodness is good enough?
I am a born again Christian and I actually enjoy reading the Bible. I used to think that I was a "good person" but life's experience has shown me otherwise.
The BAD News is that the Bible says ALL have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. The GOOD NEWS is that while we were yet dead in our sins Christ died for the ungodly.
Even though we will die and our bodies will decay our spirits will go on forever. The big question is where will our spirit abide? Will it be eternal life / light or will it be eternal torment / blackness? I struggle with the shorter daylight at this time of year. I cannot even fathom eternal blackness.
God's grace is a free gift. We cannot earn it but we must accept it here in this life.
By asking Jesus Christ to be your Representative before God you can't lose. By rejecting Jesus Christ as your Representative before God you can't win.
Choose well.

Hell is home to all those that break any of the 10 commanments. If you break the law on earh, you are fined. Gods fine is death and hell. If you have ever lied, you've broken the law, ever stolen anything, even something small like a pencil or something, stealing is stealing and lying is lying by the way, then you have broken the law. If you have ever pursued anything or anyone in this life before God, then you have broken the first commandment. If you have ever dishonored either one of you parents in any way, then you have broken the law yet again. There are no excuses, when you have broken the law, your fine must be paid. Do you want to pay that fine, remember it is death and hell? If a criminal who is guilty of a crime stands in front of the judge and says "he is sorry", he is really a "good person", the judge will not let him go until the fine has been paid. Because of the law, the judge HAS to obey it. God is the same way, he knew after sin entered the world and infected everyone that noone could be capable of keeping the law, so that is why Jesus came and kept it for us, then died in our place, went to hell, and set the captives free, and then descended to heaven on the throne of God to be our "intercessor" which is like our lawyer. You see, God looks on the heart and the motives of the heart, there are people who are seemingly good in this world and even do good things alot of the time, but these same people (including me and you) are still very capable of sinful thoughts, and doing good things for the wrong reasons. If you believe in heaven and hell, you must believe that those who go to such places will be judged, so don't stand in front of the Judge (God) without Jesus (your lawyer who intercedes and holds the proof of payment for your fine) alone! This is a very short version of Gods law and the reason we need Jesus, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me. Peace.

Let me ask you a question. You say that you are a good person, but have you ever told a lie, or wanted something that belonged to somebody else, have you lusted after somebody sexually. If you have then you are not a good person. You would have already broken 3 of the 10 commandments.
Let me put it this way-- No one is a good person, not even me. The only thing that will keep you from going to hell is asking Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins and coming into your heart. Being a good person will not save you.
Sabina, what I was saying when I said "not even me" I was saying that I am not a good person, I am a christian but above all I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. I still sin, but I have the forgiveness of God if I just ask him for it.

What do you think. Do you think you are good enough to stand before an perfect God and say you have never sinned.Because all it takes is one to keep you out. I would never tell anyone that they were going to hell, because only God knows. Because you are a good person doesn't make you sinless. We all have messed up, that is why we have Jesus to take that sin away, when we believe in Him. I really hope you don't go to Hell, cause you sound like a good person, so what is keeping you from trusting Christ. Fear of what others may think or say of you. Wouldn't it be better to trust in God then man, they will let you down. He won't. I hope this helps you. I have never been sorry trusting in Jesus. Come on board with us, we need all the good people we can get. Don't listen to this pooey that you can't like other people or hate gays, that is religion. I am talking about following Christ. He loved everybody, the worst of the worst. You are already good so protect your heart and soul with the one who loves and knows you best, God.

Either limbo (which is just eternal peace, but not as great as heaven, pretty much outside the gate, this is where children who were too young to understand go if they die) or God will show you mercy if you are shown to the light, as some people could have the truth hidden to them. I believe if they didnt understand, or couldnt find the truth as it was supressed, they would either get limbo or be given a chance to repent. Jesus is Loving and Forgiving. The only way you couldnt would probably be Luciferism. if you worship the devil you obviously know about jesus but you dont worship him. As that would be blasphemy. Perhaps one day, you should pray and see what happen, ask to be shown to the light, chances are your eyes will be opened, but if they arent, how would it hurt?

the bible tells us the dead are conscious of nothing when you are dead thats it you have expired the bible also says that death pays the wages of sin and since we are all imperfect we are all sinners but all hope is not lost the bible also says that there will be a resurrection of both righteous and unrighteous people the bible actually gives clear and concise answers to all questions it is not hard to understand these things but Christendom and other religions have totally warped the scriptures so people think god is cold and unloving the best thing to do is to have a study for yourself of the bible you will be amazed and inspired by the truths and revelations in it you will not believe how much the bible truths have been distorted if you would like a free home bible study contact your local kingdom hall of Jehovah's witnesses and please keep an open mind and see what revelations the bible can show you please dont look anywhere else for this information apart from the bible as many religions and governments try to silence Jehovah's witnesses because they are threatened by the truth best wishes xx

Well, I hate that I have to tell you but you will go to hell.
The Bible states that to enter the kingdom of heaven you must accept Jesus Christ as your saviour.
If you believe in being good, if you have a feeling that there is a power out there greater than anything you could imagine then you must know that someone was here that created our great world.
Jesus did actually live on this planet. There are historical accurate documents proving his existence...however, whether or not you choose to accept him as you saviour and believe in his actions is up to you.
I'd recommend going to a church near you or speaking with a pastor about the great works. Jesus, Our Lord, can have an extreme impact on your life.

That is not for me to judge. I am glad you are interested, though.
The bible says the only way to the Father (God, who is Heaven) is through the Son (jesus who you need)
So If you dont accept jesus as being perfect, and reject his gift of grace, the bible says you will go to hell.
I really don't see the point of rejecting him. His grace is so sufficient, you dont even haave to change your life, attend church, etc. Those are man made things. Just spend a little time with Him before you die, and confess your sins, accept that He is Lord.
It is really easy to be saved. He doesnt need another self righteous Christian down here, He has got lots of those. He just wants to clean up your heart and save your soul, so you can spend forever in happiness.
I respect your views as a non believer, those are my points as a beliver. I hope our paths cross in heaven one day.
Have a great evening!

If you believe all these things, why do you not believe in God? Everything you hold to be true is what He stands for. If you believe in Heaven and Hell, then you must believe in some higher power. Otherwise those places wouldnt exist to you. Please dont let science scare you away from having faith.
And for the record, since you believe what the Bible teaches then you should know this too:
"He so whoever believith in HIm shall not perish but have everlasting life"
With that one single line from the Bible you should be able to answer your own question. Hope this helped...
