shouldn't they contact 24 hours before the date? I made plans with a co-worker for lunch on Monday, for today. However, 30 minutes before the date, I hadn't heard from him, so I left :)
when I got back and he had called 5 minutes before the date... was I wrong to leave?

ya, he's not a dentist's office calling to make sure you'll be there for you annual cleaning.

confirm a date, he asked you out right?
you didn't think he was serious?

i would understand if you were the queen of sheba or something but come on.....

You were wrong. If you planned the date and time for Today at 11:30.....and left at 11:00....you didn't keep the date. If he was calling at 11:25 to cancel or tell you he was going to be late...that is also fine. Last minute things come up.

While confirming a date isn't necessary.....it can be done by either party at any time.
