You'll need a piece of the same wallpaper that's already up before you start. Remove some of the wallpaper around the hole so you have some area to work with. Spackle/fix the hole like you would if there wasn't wallpaper, and sand it down to make it smooth. Cut the piece of wall paper a little bit bigger than the area you need to cover, making sure the pattern matches perfectly (this doesn't need to be a square piece. Cut the piece to fit the contours of the exposed area.) Then, using an exposed razor blade, "shave" the edges of the wallpaper patch on the underside to decrease the thickness. Then, apply the glue to the back and align the paper to the wall. The edges should be smooth and hardly noticable.

What comes to mind is to put a great photo and frame or a piece of art over the hole. If you can't do that, buy a tiny amount of white wallpaper, some acrylic artist paints and paint the pattern on the white paper and glue it carefully over the hole.

Make that an accent wall
take off all the wallpaper from that wall
fix the hole
then find a color that will show of the paper or contrast with the paper and paint that wall and make that wall your show piece with a painting or print
