Christ brings positive thinking and actions. Negativity brings anger and strife. When I lived without the presence of the Lord I was a negative person so I had negative relationships in my life were negative, negative responses in every situation, and my negative thinking brought about negativity at every turn.

Yes.
Meditate on the Word, The Law(s) and Precepts of God, day and night. (Old Testament).
The Apostle Paul said it this way, in the New Testament, "Do not be anxious, do not worry - about anything, but in every circumstance by prayer and supplication(requests for others), with Thanksgiving, continue to make your needs known to God. And God's Peace shall be yours, that tranquill state of soul, which transcends all understanding shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. AND lastly brothers and sisters, Whatever is ture, whatever is worthy of reverence, and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure and lovely, whatever is kind and gracious, all that has virtue and excellence, and worthy of praise, "Think on these things". And Model your way of living upon these things, AND The God of Peace (tranquil, undisturbed, untroubled Peace) will be with you and in you !!!" Amplified Bible. Phil. 4:6-9.
Yes, religion helps one maintain a Very Positive Attitude and healthy thought-life, if one is consistently dwelling on the Word of God, the Bible
If a person has a off time or an off day, and has temporarily lost there peace and positive attitude/positive thougt-life, go back to the Word of God, the Bible, meditate on it, things on these things in the Word, and peace, tranquility, and a Positive Healthy thought-life is restored.
Thank You Very Much for your Question.
It was a very Good question, Thxs.

My religion is not responsible for me being a possitive thinker. My faith in God and knowing that whatever happens, He will never leave me or forsake me, is. Anyone can claim to be religious, but are they experiencing the peace that surpasses all understanding? Knowing that God is always watching out for you will help you be alot more positive.

Because my Religion(HINDU) offers me a lot of freedom to conceive the Supreme Being as per my intellectual comprehension and select a method either simply meditate(Dhyaanam-Yoga or Vedhaantam/worship with prayers(Pooja-Yamam-Niyamam)/or involve in rituals(Yagjnam-Yaagam-Meemaamsam)or even to refute His existence(Saankyam).Hindu Religion does NOT give any commandments or demanments--it says you can select a way to reach the Supreme Being as per intellectual capacity and physical ability--"Yat roachathi tat graahyam-yan na roachathi tat thyaajyam"

My church is fairly strong on positive, upbeat thought. When one considers the love of God for humanity, and the breathtaking beauty of the planet that we live upon, it's fairly easy to stay focused on the positive. There is a great deal of joy to be had in life.

By always having faith in God, he made us all, he can take us all, he gave every single creature in this universe in all centuries a percentage of mercy in his heart, so I can't even imagine how merciful he is!!!...therefore when there is a problem that faces me in this life, no matter how huge is it, I believe that God would be so merciful and helps me to find my way out...that's how it keeps me positive ever after.....

It gives you purpose in life and most religions have a set of rules that if you truly follow you can't avoid becoming positive. Don't lie, don't steal, don't gossip... Focus on the good. I dunno, I have been studying buddhism and have become extremely positive, but I also see the simularities with Christianity too.

I don't have religion...I have Jesus Christ. When you know where you're going when you die it is easy to stay positive....everything else is gravy. God works in my life, I feel it down to the soul. I have never had as much joy and peace in my life as I do with God in it. This statement couldn't be truer: Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Take up your cross and follow Him.

I'm not sure it's religion, but when I read the Scriptures about God it's positive, and uplifting.
