The answer to this question is simply YES. His works are explained through his words and his words explained through his works. Jesus's actions/works/words can also be affirmed through Old Testament Scriptures as well.

The question is what he said. The gospel texts were all written down by the early Christian community about a generation after his death, and quickly passed into the editorial control of non-Jews with all kinds of nutty Hellenistic religio-philosophical speculation as their basic worldview. We can't know an awful lot about his words or his works.

The words and works that survive the strictest application of critical methods tend to indicate that he thought of himself as an eschatological prophet -- he certainly didn't think of himself as God incarnate.

Jesus said many times that everything he did was the will of his Father. Faith without works is dead. (James 2:26)

By living daily proof...

Today my depression was bad and I was outside on my way to the doctors. My husband hugged me while I was crying and helping to calm me down.

We prayed and He asked God to speak to me.. the bird on the roof across the street chirped and I knew He was near.
