I know this might be a weird question....

I noticed that my dad has no hair on the area where his socks go. Like around his ankles. And an area around his knees from when he crosses his legs sometimes. I think over the years, his skin was being irritated or rubbed or something and the hair naturally came off.

I wondered... what if I rubbed my legs a lot. Then would I be able to not have hair too?! Yeah, ridiculous. But I mean, it makes sense, doesn't it? The hair should fall off eventually if I continue to rub it.... right?

I just hate having to shave my legs all the time and having it already showing up the very next day.

My dad's skin isn't rough on those areas.
It's really smooth.
I want every part of my legs to look like that!
LOL.

you are right, many people who wear thick hats alot go bold on their heads. the skin gets poor circulation and air is cut off. but rubbing your legs won't help much. wear high thick socks but it might not be so healthy to slow down circulation and not allow your skin to breath. lf you really don't like to shave let you hair grow. some guys don't mind girls with hairy legs.

As much as I wish that it were that easy, it just wouldn't work. Think about how many hours a day those socks had to rub to get the hair off. And that's just a small area. You'd spend your entire day rubbing and looking like a mental patient to the very people you were trying to impress with your beautiful, hairless legs. lol

You are thinking about the Smooth Away. While semi-effective, the Smooth Away takes a long time to work- you have to rub an area for a while in order for it to work. It hurt one of my friends who has more sensitive skin, but it did keep the hair away for awhile. I don't suggest buying it. Hope this helps! :)

I have noticed this same thing also on the backs of my calfs and my thighs... I believe it is a continual thing as I wear jeans alot and so the are continually wearing away the hair just like sandpaper... I doubt it would stay that way if I quit wearing cloths.....

i dont think the lack of hair in those areas is from the rubbing. race has a lot to do with hair growth, and sometimes softness can relate to masculinity or lack of . no offense meant there.

Hey that actually makes sense, and i knwo that in ancient times women used to rub their legs with pumice stones to buff off hair, you might have something there!

I noticed mine are getting smooth in the same area along my shin, I'm not that old, so maybe its the wear and tear from socks and high work boots I wear...
