ive got DVD recorder/VCR recorder unit,(seperate from computer) and ive taken all my camcorder footage onto DVD.( thru a seperate unit, not thru computer) now, how do i get it into my laptop to be able to send to youtube or other places?

you should use software created for the format you are using, the best all around is Pinnacle Studio 500 USB

Load DVD into CDROM tray "move" content from that drive to folder on "my documents" then you should be able to send to youtube as attachment

I would use nero 7 ultra edition enhanced to copy it to your hard drive because that way it would be in your computer then you would have a backup copy any way. im scared of the utube!!!! its kinda creepy
