1.Whats the price should I pay for 400D as different vendors quote different price ?
2.By how much would the cost reduce in a year ?

£530 max but you should be able to buy a 350d as a bin end for £300 keep looking ebay jessops jacobs as they sell off last cameras. 400d no real improvement on 350 you will not notice 10mp and anti dust thing slows it all up (and the lens is not as good as Sony or Nikon similar offering) I tried desperately to buy 300d ummed and aahed about a one off at jacobs and found they just stop producing old models when new one is out to maintain the price 400d will not be cheaper in 1 year it will be gone and welcome to the 450d at £600

Pay the most somebody quotes you. It'll be worthless in a year.

It will lose about 50 cents in year amd it is 1999.99 right now
