I need advice/an opinion. When I first started high school I lost two people of whom I was very close to. I became very depressed. I started to refuse to go to school on-and-off regularly. It was the biggest mistake of my life. this carried on for two years. No-one helped me. my parents then sent me to a private schoo, and lied to the head tecaher saying that I wasn't behind in my schholwork..when I was..seriously behind.... I found I couldn't keep up with the work..by the end of the year I couldn't cope anymore and because I didn't know what to do...refused to go to school altogether.(this was the end of my third year in high school) I was then at home with 3 measly hours of home tuition in only Englah and art....for the next 2 years. I got G grades in my GCSEs (apart from English) what I need to know is.....when I was at the end of my 3rd year and then went to ahve home tuition...how could I have fixed the situation then/ what could I have done? I didn't have a clue how I could have caught up/what I should have done to fix the situation at this point. WHAT SHOULD I HAVE DONE BACK THEN? HOW COULD I HAVE FIXED THINGS? PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ME. Could I somehow have caught up if my parents had been able to arrange proper home education/tuition for me?(starting again with year7/first high school year work) and then taking 5 years to catch up before I sat my GCSEs?(so I would have been taking my GCSEs about now) or would this not have worked? If not...then why?
also...how could this home education have been arranged/organised?? Since my parents wouldn't have had a clue how to structure this?
Can anyone provide me with any answers? please don't say that it doesn't matter anymore...because it really does to me...and it would help me to sort my head out if I knew the answers to these things.
I live in England
How could this home education have been organised/structured??

Clemance, my young friend. you cannot change the past. If you want to succeed in life, use the frustration you are feeling to energize yourself, focus on the future, you are still able to get an education, stop worrying about what happened and move on. Of course you have been through a tough time, the people you have lost would not want you to fail, Your life is in your own hands now. Come on mate you can do it.

I went to your post page, I can't believe how many times you've asked for help - 5 pages??? If you are not a hoax, you are in serious trouble - WAKE UP!!!! You are sleeping.

The past is abstract - it is over and gone, never to be yours (or ours) again.
The Future is also abstract, it hasn't happened yet.

All you have is the present; the past, present, and future are all happening RIGHT NOW. Things are the way they are because that is the way they are supposed to be. Forget about trying to 'catch up', IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. You have to take what is now and move on with your life. Your life is ALL YOU HAVE. It is all you are going to get. That's the way it is for everyone. You are a clown in this circus. We are all clowns. You are lucky enough to have a front row seat. AND I DO MEAN LUCKY. Start making some balloon animals. Stay positive, forget negativity - keep smiling, and do not remove the big red ball from your nose - we all make mistakes, we all carry on.

Home schooling can be arranged by your local council/education department but they tend to only offer the very basic subjects. More in-depth home teaching is generally sort out privately.

Okay edited: just taken Angie's advice and seen your profile- dude there are only so many times you can ask the same question! And if you're not going to listen to the answers anyway what's the point in the first place? Seek some therapy to help you get over things and do retakes- outside of the house. No point getting your GCSEs if you're not socially equipped to cope in the workplace.

First thing to remember is that education isn't restricted to the few years you spend at school. It lasts for life. When I went to university at 35 I thought I'd be the oldest person there. I wasn't, not by a long way, there were people there doing degrees and PHD's in their 70'a and over. I'm not suggesting you wait that long, but don't write yourself off because you got off to a bad start. and the main person responsibility for your education is you. There's help out there, FIND IT

yes, you should of been helped, i also lost two close familiy members in my second year of high school, and was pretty much just put back in school, no counseling, no one noticing the depression i was in , etc..... i also started missing days, and actually passed my classes, barely, but got no credit in some for to many days absent. even that could of been protested, if my parents or family had known what to do.

yes, when you look back on it,, it makes you wonder why no one stepped up to help,,,, but as stated, that is the past,,, you certainly can educate yourself,,,,, and then take whatever type test they have there in your country,,,, i myself years later took a GED here in the usa,, its a high school equvalency(sorry spelling), and that worked fine for attending college here, i know things are a little different where you live.

to learn high school courses,, there are many help sites on the internet, you need to access yourself and see where your at,,,,, what you need to learn,. math/algebra, science (biology and physical), english (grammar and literature), history (local and the world),, and geography, and toss in some government and you should have high school covered!

also check out,,,, in your city, what adult education opportunities there are,,

but you can do it yourself, and anyone, not just a teacher/tutor , can help you. just find someone who knows/understands a particular subject

Oh come on.

You are just constantly reposting your questions.

Everyone has tried to answer you and offer sympathy and advice.

You are paying no attention to what anyone is saying.

May I suggest that before anyone else replies you look at this persons profile of asked questions.

Like I Keep telling you --- I would urge you to please seek proffesional help as a matter of urgency. You clearly need proper help to resolve your issues.

You should have done what you did back then. Nobody loses close friends and is unaffected. We are not robots! Please, please, please listen to the advice you are getting. Live in the present and figure out what you need to do NOW. You can save your education NOW. That is all that matters.
