Really are about the same for acute care. If you need trauma they are much different. They get a rating I, II, III. Level I can take anything. They much have a neurosurgeon on call and able to get their within 30 mins...allso many other kind of doctors. Neonatal also has different ratings. Level I is the hopital that can handle the really ill infants. A difference in some hospitals or medical center is if they are affiliated with an educational inistituion so they will have residents. Ps NEVER go to a hospital that has residents in July....could be really bad (new one's come on board) Hope this helps
