What all kicks? , Could be arthritis ,Could be bit of tendinitis, Could be stress fracture Could be a Bursa. Could be disc problem referring pain. Could just be over use. Deep heavy squatting will put additional strain on them. Stop squatting and kicking for a month just do light stretching, break back in slow when you start again. If rest don't cure it see a physio for MRI. If physio doesn't cure it pack in. I did Karate for years it shags your hips up not worth it in the long run no matter what the spirit demands.

Drop the weights squatting with weights and kicking are detramental(i think thats the word)to each other. As ive told some other people go to the library find the books charles atlas wrote take notice then use it and adapt it to yourself.
Charles atlas was the most perfectly proportioned man in the world (not the biggest,or the most devoloped etc.)and he never lifted a weight.Remember the add on phantom comics etc(your probably not old enough)about the sand getting kicked in your face etc?well thats who there talking about.sheese i feel 200 years old.
PS a martial artist a long time what does that mean?to humble or to embarrsed? to say iv'e only been doing it for a week?

how do they hurt?

does it hurt when you do other motions at all?

I would suggest seeing a doctor, unless of course your form is just so off that you are hurting yourself. Is it all kicks or just one kind?

when you squat heavy weights are you "hurt" because you are sore or is it a sharp pain?

You might be hurting yourself if your squat form is off too. one of the best cures for that is to do full squats and go below parallel so your calves touch the back of your legs, you will have to reduce the weight drastically but that is something you want because if you have bad form just doing high weight is going to damage your body anyway and you aren't gaining what you should be out of it. working out isn't a contest to see how many plates some musclehead can slap onto a bar, it is about self-improvement.

HIP FLEXOR...i train jiu jitsu and it hurts after maybe fifteen or so minutes of moving around. Im in pharmacy school and I've asked around for any stretches or anything, Lunge stretches helped but I really just had to lay off of it for a while and until it healed.

um you should probobly try dropping the weights a little bit, the pain might come from the squats, or the way you do them. or when kickin, you dont turn your hips enough, you might just be moving your legs and causing your hip to be fixed in one position when kicking. so try turning your body and your hips when throwing kicks.

Yes m8, you need what is called crack hip stretching. Most physios can do this but its expensive. I get my physio free and although my hips dont hurt anymore when kicking i still get crack hip stretching to give a wider and longer motion on my kicks. gud luk m8!!

dont do heavy weight do light weights for speed, power will come if the technique is right and only then. You do not need brute force to be effective. Look at Bruce Lee 8st when wet, would you like to take him on if he were alive today. Technique is everything, learn the technique to the best you can and practice, and then practice somemore it will come eventually I promise!!!!

what kind of kick [side kick] ??????. my feeling is your alignment is incorrect, ask your Sensei,Sifu to watch how you kick . Too much power in your kick , its not wise to throw full power kicks into thin air because it creats an elongation of the muscles supporting the hip and thigh creating stress. kick full power into a bag is the best way

My hips were hurting and we figured out I wasn't pivoting enough. They stopped hurting once I did it correctly.
