My girlfriend and I tease eachother over certain things, like I'll tease her about her chubby cheeks, and usually she just laughs but once in awhile she says it upsets her. I really show that I care about her but I relate to my girlfriend alot through teasing her, and she certainly doesn't have to worry about me thinking badly of her, becauses she knows I care about her (and I show it!), right down to her chubby little cheeks. Should I stop? Am I a bad boyfriend?

yeah, stop. If she gets upset it really means don't. My boyfriend made a comment one day (teasingly) and I about chopped his head off. I am well aware I am chubby and when he teases - it lowers my self esteem. I was married for 17 yrs to man who "teased" but after awhile it seemed more like you are fat and ugly lose weight.
No matter how confident a woman is - usually the one thing that can bring her down is a man teasing her about her weight. It reminds us we are not perfect like all of those models, etc.
If you do this enough it becomes psychological and emotional abuse.
Honestly, if you were my guy - I would dump you if you didn't stop.
Think of it this way - how would you feel if she teased you about your sexual performance and said it wasn't up to her standards. And then laughed about it and said I am only teasing you.
I am sure that would not feel very good to you. How long would you take that before getting upset?

Depends on how long you have been together. Find/learn a new way to tease. Share a joke about someone else,. not at the expense of gf. If you continue to make it about personal body items, you risk becoming a bad bf. Show the caring, teasing in a more positive light. The are many ways of humor, witty, dry, sarcastic, black humor. Explore some types.

I think as long as the teasing is mutual and friendly/playful, why stop? I tease my friends all the time and sometimes its just something social. If, however, you notice her being annoyed or hurt by the teasing, I would suggest stopping.
Even the fact that she teases you back shows that its pretty mutual. Just be careful what you tease her about, and you should be fine

Maybe you're making her self conscious or making her feel uncomfortable with that particular part of her body which she might've not liked to begin with and teasing her isn't going to make her feel any better so I'd say stop. It doesn't make you a bad boyfriend but if you know it hurts her when you tease about that then why do it?

Teasing is fair game. Don't tease about a sensitive subject though. That causes hurt feelings. That is like say you have a big nose. And then she teases you about it. That is not something that you would be fond of would it? Teasing is fun, just steer clear of touchy areas.

No, youre not a bad boyfriend at all. if she jokes the same with you...dont worry about it. just take into consideration she has bad days too. days where she thinks shes fat, ugly, nothing fits. she may feel more sensitive on certain days. find out when her period is. thost 5 days....NO JOKING. dont stop teasing eachother just ask her if it bothers her.

I personally like teasing back and forth but, if your GF has already told you it upsets her, then obviously you should stop, esp. about the thing that upsets her. When you tease make sure you are smiling and then telling her you really find her traits cute.

awww!! that is so sweet. you are not a bad boyfriend at all. my boyfriend does the same thing to me all the time and i love it cause it makes me feel so special, if she's ok with it that you have no need to worry but if she tells you it bothers her, you may want to talk to her about it, asking her why she feels like that and how she feels, discuss her feelings and explain to her you're only doing it in a loving way, not a mean or bad intentioned way. aww, love is a beautiful thing.
