How do you feel about this statement someone said to me today?

Nothing tastes as good as it feels to look good in the mirror.

Depending on your relationship with the person, it was an insult, a compliment, or he/she was being arrogant.

This line has historically had 3 meanings:
1) A friend says that to you, it's a compliment. He is saying that you look especially good today.
2) Someone who doesn't like you says that to you, it's an insult. He's saying that you are vain, conceited, egotistical, you have an Eros complex, or he's making fun of the way you look. (This quote has been used more recently by advertisers to get overweight people to join expensive gyms or pay for expensive diet plans.)
3) Someone you know to be full of himself says this to you or in general, he is reaffirming that he thinks he looks good and is probably way too sure of himself.

Interesting statement... but not true for everyone I suppose.

Dieting is more than just choosing good tasting food over weight, it is about self control, desires, and committment.

I think you can look good in the mirror and still find good tasting food ;)

I've heard it before - but a bit different -

I used to have it up on my fridge - so I wouldn't open the door as much!

Well, whoever said this to you must be pretty caught up in their looks and concentrate heavily on them. They must be really really happy when they consider themselves good looking in the mirror.

it means ditch the $hit-cake-mcdonald's burgers and enjoy a healthier figure. I say the statement is quite accurate, tastebuds which are manipulated by our modern food chemicals don't feel the joy as long as our bodies do when we look and FEEL healthy.
