We are getting a new kitten but I think that I have ringworm in the house(from a previous cat). Besides bleaching everything possible and steam cleaning is there anything else that I can do?

If you have bleached everything and steamcleaned your carpets then you have done all that you can do. In this case it is vitally important that your kitten maintain a strong immune system, so that if it does come in contact it will be able to fight it off.

It also depends on how long ago the ringworm was in your house.

Talk to your vet about this and see what he or she thinks. I think they will say the same and will tell you what you need to do to make sure your keep your kittens' immune system up to it's peak potential.

Good luck with your new kitten!

Wait...and then wait somemore. There is going to be NO WAY to get it out of your house. It can be hiding in all kinds of places. If you have othre animals, they can be carriers of the spores.

Maybe wait getting the kitten. If the spores are there, you will end up with another outbreak.
Don't bother trying to bleach or steam. You won't get it all.

It can take 18 months or sometimes more for it to go away since the last outbreak.
