I`m Canadian and I`m just going to visit family and friends for 1 week in the United States. All I have for my daughter is her birth certificate and medicare card.

You should probably gether put on yourpassport, or ger her one of her own igf you plan on going more often, and you will also need a notarized statement from her father that you have his permission to take her out of the country. I had tons of trouble 10 years back at customs on both side, even with a pasport and her birth cirtificate because I had nothing from her IVF sperm donor

birth certificate for daughter and birth certificate plus govt photo ID for you, at least that is what we need when we go there. She might need her health card, that has a photo, doesn't it?

Look at your embassy web page, it's all there.

We don't require passports for Canadians yet.

nothing but drivers license till about 7 jan..2007.
