Asalaamu alaikum sister,

I guess I think that it is arrogance and hatred. Either they are raised that way or are so blinded that they cannot see the truth, and as you know shaitaan is ever present, especially when it comes to non believers. I mean I was born and raised here in the US, and my family was not racist, but not all that accepting, I however missed that and have always been accepting. There is so much hatred throughout the world, because people are arrogant, ignorant and proud. When really in fact they do not realize they will have to answer for it. So I look at it this way, they will get thier day, they may think it is okay now, but we all have to answer for what we do in this life. So sister, I just pray that we can all live side by side and be friends. I am nice to everyone, no matter how bad my day is, I smile when people glare at me, and think when I meet non muslims that I may be the only one they meet, so I try to be an example for the Ummah. Insha'Allah we can all put silly differences aside and be friends regardless of race and religion.

Wa- salaam!!
I love you for the sake of Allah ta'ala

yes this is true, religion is only a conduit for inherent human behaviour and any ideology would produce the same results but some religions are more suited to encouraging and harnessing that natural aggression to propagate itself. the spread of Buddhism into the far east was a process of conversion by peaceful persuasion, Christianity was spread globally by missionaries following explorers and conquerors motivated by greed. Islam conquered to spread Islam and its greatest gains were by the sword. some religions are more apt at focusing and using violence for its own ends.

I would agree religion has little impact in the beginning. A great deal of a man's violence can be inherited or soaked in by that which goes on around him at a young and impressionable age. Indoctrination plays a role as well but I have found it to be a smaller factor than what is repeatedly seen and heard in reference to the value of life and individuality.

I think no religion ordered anyone to be Violante only the raise of man who make their children Violante...some people live without knowing anything about their religion...and some people learn other people religion in wrong way for their needs..and in both ways it is because knowing nothing about the religion and when , where, why this ayah for example was said by Allah....some people define religion on their mood sorry to say that but it is true...that's all.

It's probable, in fact, but where the inherent violence leaves off, religion picks up.

Inherently, yes, possible, but mostly as a result of his financial, political or social situation.

Man certainly uses religion to justify his greed and violence.

Relgion cannot be blamed for it.

I don't think any religion breeds violence. It is rather man's twisting of religious teachings to benefit himself that makes it appear as such.

Yes. Natural selection (at least under the conditions present when we evolved) tends to make selfish and violent organisms. However, we are the only organisms to kill each other when it doesn't even benefit ourselves. We kill each other for ridiculous reasons, one of which is religion.

We're naturally violent, but religion helps our nature out a bunch.

most certainly i agree
religion is only an excuse for evil to justify evil
think they that god rejoice that those who kill gods children do so in his name?
would he thank
those who destroy his benificent gifts ,even worse when done in his name ,but it is mens free choosing, that to is for gods reason not mans,by thier deeds be they revealed
thier deeds reveal thier unbelief ,whatever religion they claim upon that birthed the disbelief is not the fault of the words of the belief but in the disbeliever of the good intented in its words.
