I don't know what she is into, but our kids got married on a lot less and had nice weddings. Our one daughter married a cowboy but she was a girly girl so we took rope and made lassos and deocrated them with bows and flowers and put on the pews, I went to yard sales and found several big spittoons ( which we polished up) and one of his Aunts put flower arrangements in them, we all helped fill little scraps of lace with bird seed to throw instead of rice and the kids used balloons for a lot of their decorations at the reception and when the wedding was over they released them...It was nice but not real expensive. My other children had nice weddings also, they all went with the bird seed theme.....we rented a huge lighted punch bowl that was used at all three weddings and was so much worth it as when the lights were turned off it lit the room up with every color under the sun and only cost about $50 to rent at A-1 Rental.....you could just walk up and put your glass under it anywhere and get punch, we had so many comments on it, it stood about 4 foot tall, if you can find one they are a decoration all in themself and a great conversation piece. Ask people if they can help you decorate, arrange flowers, my one daughter used a fan instead of a bouquet but a lady added flowers to it and long ribbon, we had alot of help and made it fun to get together and make things, we spent more on the dresses and veils than anything I think. Everyone enjoyed our time working on things and it sure saved money, my oldest daughter and youngest daughter rented the bridesmaids dresses and that was really nice!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, try going to Martha Stewarts website, she has so many wonderful ideas about do it yourself decorations on a budget. Getting the wedding party involved in creating the decorations would be and efficient way to economize. Instead of real flowers buy the imitation ones, there less expensive and just as beautiful (Walgreens) Consider doing the reception in your home or perhaps the back yard. Serve sparkling cider instead of alcoholic beverages keep it sober. Instead of rice throwing get colored confetti. Do the cooking for the wedding and involve both sides to provide a variety of dishes.

You should check out the eBook called Dream Weddings On A Budget - it's about $13, and it is written by a couple who did their entire wedding for $2000 - it's an amazing book: and I should know, I'm a wedding planner. I just reviewed the book on my blog, which happens to also be about Budget Dream Weddings - http://budgetdreamweddings.com - hope that helps:)

Maybe think about an outdoor wedding. In a family or friends backyard. Maybe a BBQ buffet for the meal and get close family and friends to maybe help out with alittle food.
Buy a second hand wedding dress. Go to the DollarStore and try to find gifts got the guest there and or things to help with the decorations.
I got ALOT of my wedding things from Michael's go often and check out EVERYTHING you could find great sales!!!! Just be creative about it all!
I got tin travel candles there for $1.00 each and I got wood Snowflakes and I painted them and got maginet strips and made the snowflakes into maginets with our names on them!!!
My wedding hasnt happened yet its in January, but the few people who have seen the gift LOVE them!!!!
All the best
