Oh dear...this is NOT good! I would either go back to your Dr. and ask for an x-ray to check for an obstruction, or go to ER and see what they can do for you. I had a small obstruction a few years ago and ended up in ER. They gave me a laxative drink that was the pits in taste, but boy did it work! You can actually get it at Wal Mart or at any pharmacy. I can't remember what it is called (it isn't called by a name, but rather by the main ingredient) but it has something to do with sodium. It is a thick, clear, syrupy liquid that tastes like salted Sprite. It comes in a green glass bottle. Whatever is in there, it will take care of, but I would stay VERY close to the potty if I were you! If you decide to try this, you have to drink the whole thing. Like I said, it tastes awful, but if you hold a piece or two of hard candy in your cheek while you drink, it makes it a little better. Good luck!
P.S. Golightly is a HUGE misnomer!

Sometimes I go 4-5 days without a no. 2 Suggest you drink some carbonated apple juice for breakfast. Don't eat anything for a few hours. This always helps me and it's much better than taking the chemical laxatives. This sounds like you could have a blockage. You need to keep complaining a demand some more tests be done.

You should go back to your doctor and talk with him about further diagnostic testing. It's possible that, even though you're not having monster pain, that you could have a bowel obstruction. Put the pressure on your doctor about this. You're the one having the symptoms, not him. It's your body. In the meantime, you'll want to make sure you're getting enough fluids (at least 6 to 8 glasses of water or other liquids a day).

Has your Dr given you maralax or golightly? Its a prescription laxative they give to people with gastrointestinal problems. Have you seen a GI doctor? Yes it can be dangerous in fact it can cause your blood stream to become toxic and sepsis can set in. If your drinking plenty of water and still unable to produce an adquate bowel movement then you need to see another Dr besides the one that you claim can not help with your problem.

Months?? Yes it is dangerous as the waist becomes very toxic prior to elimination. If this backs up it can mean awful troube healthwise. First Don't 'think' you may die. Think Positive.
Start drinking alot of water (at least six-eight 12 ounces a day or more-it won't hurt you. Go to store and buy jugs of distilled water as the water from your tap may not be good or good enough)
Excercise. Walk alot, ride a bike and do sit ups (without curling your head on the upswing) Do crutches: Lay on back, knees bent, hand folded behind head and just lift your chin to the ceiling, hold for count of four then release. Do sets of 20 four times.
Waist twists: Sit on preferrable a weight pench or something that you can press your knees against to firm you. Hands behind head, back straight turn to the left, hold for four counts, then back to center and to the right, hold four counts. Do 20 times in four sets.
Next is concentrate on your diet. You need a high fiber diet. Start with eating All Bran in the morning. Eat fruit. Bananas are good. Oranges. About two hours after dinner eat a grapefruit (Ruby Reds are good) drink plenty of water and in the morning find time to relax yourself. Give your self enough time in the morning to wake up, eat, read the paper or something to gain a relaxed state.
I would suggest in the morning to start by taking two tablespoons of flax seed husks mixed with a very tall glass of water, stirr and drink it all at once. Otherwise it becomes too thick as the flax husks gell. Can get it at health food stores. This give you fiber and also works to help clean out your bowels.
Administer lots of fluids, especially fruit juice, and carbohydrates. A balanced diet that includes whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lots of fluid is always recommended.
You may also consider removing cow's milk protein from your diet.
I would suggest seeing a naturpathic doctor. The internet is a good source of information as well as the library and health food store. I believe the excercise and water suggestions above will give you a good head start. However, wouldn't hurt to seriously looking into information about keeping your bowels clean, not necessarily what is called an "intestinal cleanse" at this point, but to give you ideas of the proper foods to eat to 'keep you regular'.
When you do go to the washroom, don't push with all your might, this can cause hemmroids. Best is to plant your feet on the floor infront of you and if you feel you need to push hard, press down on your feet.
