We have talked a lot. He's always finding a reason to phone me. When I go to his office we talk about US and finally He asked me out. I think he's the nicest man I've met, I had a c-section with him, he loves my baby, and I met him when I was pregnant. I like him but I thought he would be just a doctor to me and I thought he was just being nice to me until I realize that he was very interested about ME and finally he asked me out. I really like him. I'm 22 and he's a lot older than I, he's very nice, but what do you think about me dating my gynecologist, I sometimes think it would be weird, now he wants me to be more than only his patient

He's not a creeper. And the first thing he told me before ask me out, "you should get a new doctor" and asked why and he said "cause I want to ask you togo out with me"

If he's not a creepy old doctor that started fondelling you during a check up then I say go for it....think of how awkward it must of been for him to ask you out? Plus, you should feel flattered, he's seen thousands and still he wants you. Plus, I think the shy part was already taken care of and it's out of the way, ya' know? Go get your doctor Girl!

Well if you guys really like each other then go for it...but I would advise you to find yourself a new doctor. It's just not a good idea nor is it professional for a doctor to be that personally involved with a patient.

Where is the father of your baby? He's 1st priority. So is the babe.
BUT, if he's out of the picture, I think this could be a beautiful thing. Are you attracted to him?? He's not a creeper, right? Then go for it-- it could be great. Just enter with caution, that's all.

I think I would feel a little bit uncomfortable if my gynecologist asked me out. This is why mine is a female. I don't know, that seems weird especially if he is much older than you. It would cause me to question his professionalism a bit.

I think he already knows what he is getting into...pardon the pun!
But the question becomes this, will you then have to get another gynecologist since he will not be able to treat you since you are a very close friend?

that sounds weird, i think you should try and find out if he dated any of his other patients befor.i think that's really strange of him and kinda perverted.he as a doctor is suppose to know how to seperate his self at work between personal feelings and professional feelings.

Doctors are people too! He sounds like a decent guy... he asked you to find a new OB/Gyn. I work in a hospital and all the gynos are married... why not??

No biggie. However, you both should end the professional relationship if you're going to pursue a personal one!

hang on because he is getting ready to "use you" for all the wrong reasons let alone the medical ethics portion, take him for what you can, good luck
