I have read that it has been estimated that 100 billion or so humans have ever lived on the planet. If we assumed that humans didn't die or that they had unconceivably long lifespans, would the planet be able to support us? Would we have exhausted all natural resources? Would there be enough space for all of us?

No, I don't think so. Everything in Nature has gots its cycle, that's how it must be..

Now, the answer seem to be easy. But it isn't.

First of all, even with a medical miracle, if the life span of a human being reaches 80 years or so (average), we can have a situation where existence wouldn't be possible.

The first and foremost thing at that time would be to decrease the growth rate of human race.
Although one doesn't need to stop reproduction, but still the norm of one child per family would have to be put in.

Then technology can be a saviour.
1. Problem of Space - If we can not product more land (although production of land in sea would be a possibility), we can always grow vertically.
The heights of all the buildings would simply increase and then the problem of space would be encountered.

2. Resources - Ofcourse, natural resources would diminish or get over soon. But we would have to develop technology that could enable survival on artificial or synthetic resources. And looking at the kind of investments being made these days, some of the essential resources of today would become redundant very soon.

I hope I have put in my views convincingly....

No we would all be living on a different planet because this one would be exhausted of resources and energy. Also we would run out of room so I agree with the last post.

we wouldnt be able to support ourselves... we dont have enough technology yet to allow that. If there was such a surplus in humans there would probably be an outrbreak of disease and war that would destroy a majority of the human race... just leaving a sustainable population. Its Social Darwinism...

That would be about 1700 square meters per person in land area. I assume that it would be able to support everybody as otherwise some of them would die.
