i would use a very good shampoo and conditioner for Colored treated hair. Also wet your hair b/f you get into the pool. Your hair has allready absorbed water, and it cant absorb anymore once you are in the pool. you can also use a shower cap. after u swim, spray a leave in conditioner in your hair, and at night put a cream conditioner in your hair and just sleep in it.

The best solution is not the prettiest: it is to wear a swimming cap. Next to this at your salon there are special products specifically for this so your hair does not become brittle, break off, lose color, faster fading time and uneven fading. Before you get in the pool take a quick shower to wet your hair and PLY it with a GREAT conditioner. after swimming, shampoo immediately, reapply a leave in conditioner.
Good luck :-))

I used to swim on a team. The chlorine absolutely will effect you hair color, especially color treated hair. It will cause fading and mooshy ends.

Use Ultra Swim shampoo and you must wear a swimmers cap.
