He mustve known adam and eve would sin in the garden of eden, right? So how is it justified to punish them? That's like putting a jar of sweets on the table and saying 'dont eat them' to something infinately less strong than yourself, e.g. a young child/a dog, KNOWING they'd eat one, then making them die because they ate one. (God made adam and eve mortal right? So in efeect he killed them.) No person can do that and be considered humane, so how can God?

'Your line of thought leads to the questioning on why should we punish criminals for breaking the law.' - No, because we don't know they will commit crimes.

I can agree with the argument that it was satan, not God. But even if God gave Adam and Eve the choice, and free will, he also knows the future right? So he knows what will happen. Not just what MIGHT happen. So he knew, whatever he said, that Adam and Eve would sin.

God can do what He wants to. He could've made them just be obedient, but He gave them a choice. They were interacting with God on a daily basis. They had everything they needed, but they allowed Satan to come in and take their focus on their creator (must like many are doing now). So no, He didn't do the deed. They did and then they didn't even have the decency to repent (again, must like many today). Try again.

Right, God knew the nature of Adam and Eve and knew they would partake of the forbidden fruit. However, it was necessary to place the fruit in front of them and tell them not to partake of it or else we would not have had agency. If we had no choices, and we were not presented with good and bad/right and wrong, we could never know happiness or sorrow. In the Garden it was beautiful and all, but to Adam and Eve it was just the Garden, they knew nothing else. Until they saw how it was outside of the Garden they couldn't know the joy of the Garden. Therefore, they may have been punished, but it was part of the plan, and the punishment was actual a blessing (you cannot know sorry without knowing joy, etc.) Also, because of eating the fruit they were able to follow the other commandment and have children. So, had Adam and Even not been given agency, which wouldn't have been possible without opposition, we would not have been. They made a choice that mankind could come to be. I am grateful for agency and choice, and am grateful the plan worked (God also knew Satan would try and tempt them and make them choose to disobey God - it was a totally trick against Satan). So, God wasn't only humane, but was doing mankind a favor.

It's called personal responsibility, Adam & Eve had everything they needed but wanted to be gods, so they ate the apple & broke the law of God and were punished. Your line of thought leads to the questioning on why should we punish criminals for breaking the law.

WRONG. Someone can dangle candy in front of you, but it is YOUR choice to eat it. God did know what would happen, and He tried to warn them. But they were disobedient and brought curse of themselves. They could just have easily have obeyed. Its to teach us that blessings come from obedience, and disobedience leads to curse. Yet after all these years, ppl are still trying to do as they please and get by with it, no matter what the consequences. God gave free will, because He doesnt want a bunch of robots being forced to serve Him. Praise GOd for the gift of free choice.
If a doc tells you to give up sugar and you still eat it and become diabetic , is it the docs fault, or yours. YOURS. God didnt do anything to them.... adam and eve, they did it to themselves. This is what comes from disobedience. God loves us and wants us to learn that certain behaviour leaves terrible conseauences, and we must learn to obey just because He said to. He wants only what is best for us. God is very humane. He doesnt even condemn to hell. PPL have a chance to learn about God andwhat He says, and to know what He required of us and then can obey or disobey. If ppl reject God, they reject Heaven, and the only other option is hell... Would you want horribly mean ppl in heaven doing all they do now on earth? I sure wouldnt. So they force God to put them somewhere else. We write our own destiny, just like Adam and Eve did, and once this kicks in, then obedience should not ever again be a problem. I am glad to obey God, cause He knows just what I need to be happy and in the right relationship with Him. I pray this for you too. God loves you unconditionally and longs only to save you. But you must ask for this free gift, and love Him enough to obey Him. That is your choice, and arent you glad YOU get to make it.????????????????

You ask the right questions for the wrong reasons. You are seeking answers in the way one is supposed to.Yet the details are not the True details. You are "sensing" a new kind of understanding emerging, and you are trying to make sense of it in relation to what you've heard, from those who think they know, and what the mythologies tell you. When you perceived the connectedness, when you understood that all is one,you actually experienced the answer to this very question. You were "all-knowing" in your experience.and if you ask this same question from the perspective of your experience, then you would have your answer.

You know your child will do something that you don't want them to do, so why punish them? You do so to teach them what is right and wrong. They have no concept right from wrong until they have absorbed enough data to develop conceptual thought process. This takes time. It takes time for humans to develop the concept that that they cannot rule themselves and have to look to God's Kingdom for guidance.

I believe that God has put adversity in our path in order for us to learn from it...
Sort of for the same reason we give our kids math homework...to a kid this is the ultimate "evil" (well, it was to me, when I was a kid, anyhow...LOL).......
