A language is proper to a country by the expressions, the dialect of the region where it's spoke. For example, even if Canadians, Americans and British speak all english, there's some expressions that are use only in each country that the other ones won't recognize. It goes also for regions in the country, some one in NY will use an expression that someone from TX (who are both in US) won't know the meaning....And it goes for any language spoken

Many Canadians speak English. Some speak French. Some speak Spanish, Tagalog, or another language. There's no language spoken in Canada that isn't also spoken somewhere else (in some dialect).

Sam reason why there isn't a specific American langauge or a Mexican language. Most of the countries in the "New World" speak a dialect of a country from the Old World.
