I know that Christians (and other people, for all that matter) say that it is wrong, and I believe it is, too. Can anyone tell me a verse in the Bible that SPECIFICALLY says premarital sex is wrong? I have found many places where the Bible talks about sexual immorality (there's a verse about it in almost every book of the Bible), but where does it say that premarital sex is immoral? Any help would be well appreciated. Thanks.

I wish I could ask my pastor, but we've been without one since December. We have a new one coming on the 19th, but I thought I'd see if any of you guys could tell me. To whoever it was who said "then don't do it", I don't. I'm not just asking this question for myself. I'm not the only one with these questions, and when others come to me seeking answers, we must "have an answer for every question". To any of you who are telling me reasons outside the Bible, no offense, but I really don't care (that's why I asked for scripture and not opinions). To all of you with relevant answers, thank you and God bless.

Fornication
DEFINITION: Premarital sex/having sex being unmarried/sex before marriage
Now... if fornication is a sin... then PREMARITAL SEX IS A SIN... why? because fornication is a sin. Now Lets see..
Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication's, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
1 Corinthians 6:13
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 Corinthians 7:2
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1 Thessalonians 4:3
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
God is so Good. He just wants to care for you. You think he wants you to be with a woman that has fornicated all her life? I believe a woman would say the same. No
It's ok nikki... you get the idea. And thats whats important.
God bless you to brother... my prayers for you and your church.

Actually, you have got to difference your wording simply rather: Hebrew Bible Roman Catholic Bible Protestant Bible The Jewish students completed the version of the Hebrew Bible in approximately the 3rd century. That textual content is integrated in each the RC and Prot. Bible. The order of the books is exceptional, due to the fact that of underlying assumptions. The Christian Bible (the New Testament) wasn't fairly nailed down till just about the 10th century or so. After that, it used to be locked in. This used to be performed in a sequence of Church Councils. This textual content is the equal in each the RC and Prot. Bible, and the Old Testament is usually the equal in both of those Bibles, besides that the order could also be somewhat exceptional. The best change among the RC and Prot. Bibles is the presence of the Apocrypha -- a couple of books that have been unknown in Hebrew, however have been integrated many times in Greek language translations of the Old Testament that have been in general use across the time of the early Church. That Greek translation of the Old Testament (known as the Septuagint) used to be so general (such a lot Jews didn't at the moment recollect how one can talk or learn Hebrew anymore) that at any time when you uncover the Old Testament quoted within the New Testament, it's continually the Septuagint textual content they're quoting.

The specific phraze 'premarital sex' is not used in the Bible. Instead, it uses the word 'fornication' and the idea of it.
Eph 5:3 -- But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
Col 3:5 - Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Just so that you know this is a correct understanding, I Googled "define: fornication" and found the following:
# voluntary sexual intercourse between persons not married to each other
# adultery: extramarital sex that willfully and maliciously interferes with marriage relations; "adultery is often cited as grounds for divorce"
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
# Fornication refers disapprovingly to any sexual activity outside of the confines of marriage, obviously including pre-marital sex. Sometimes adultery is considered a type of fornication.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fornication
# Sexual intercourse between two unmarried people.
www.sexualcounselling.com/Glossary/Glossaryf.htm
# Any kind of sexual activity outside of marriage.
www.godonthe.net/dictionary/f.html
As you can see, the Bible does indeed speak out clearly against premarital sex, or any sex with anyone with whom you are not married.

When God performed the first human marriage he said: “That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh.” (Ge 2:24) Here the standard set for man and woman was monogamy, and promiscuous sex relationship was ruled out. Also, no divorce and remarriage to another was anticipated.
In patriarchal society God’s faithful servants hated fornication, whether between single, engaged, or married persons, and it was considered a sin against God.—Ge 34:1, 2, 6, 7, 31; 38:24-26; 39:7-9.
Later, the governing body of the Christian congregation, comprised of the apostles and older men in Jerusalem, wrote to Christians in about 49 C.E., warning them against fornication, and placing it alongside idolatry and the eating of blood.—Ac 15:20, 29; 21:25.
Paul counsels that the Christian should deaden his body “as respects fornication.” (Col 3:5)
Fornication is an offense for which an individual may be expelled (disfellowshipped) from the Christian congregation. (1Co 5:9-13; Heb 12:15, 16)
The apostle explains that a Christian committing fornication sins against his own body, using reproductive members for a perverted purpose. He is greatly affected spiritually in an adverse way, brings defilement into God’s congregation, and lays himself open to the danger of deadly sexually transmitted diseases. (1Co 6:18, 19)

okay u really dont need a bible...quran...or any other religion to tell u that....if ur looking for an excuse no one is gonna give it to u,,.. the reason why premarital sex is wrong in every religion is logical.....
we arent animals , if everyone sleeps around no one would know who their father is, there would be 1000000 of diseases...and no security in realationships...nothing romantic about doing it afterwards....and the world would just be crazy if everyone thought that they can have sex with who they want when they want where they want and with how many ppl they want, i know there are many that think this way...but at least the majority stll have some sense in them!!!

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homesexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers--none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God."
well that doesnt have fornication in it does it lol i think sexual sin would mean fornication too though, like the above answers say

Hebrews 13:4 and 1 Corinthians 6:9.
"Fornicators" are those that have sex before marriage.

Well don't have premarital sex then. If you believe its wrong think of YOUR reasons why. You don't need to always hide behind your Bible, I'm sure the Bible wasn't written to be used as an instrument of hatred but I am seeing that that is how it is being used.
