Just go to your local Royal Mail Post Office, they have a little form to fill out and then they will deliver all your mail from the week when you get back. Have fun in Paris, the Eiffel by night is an amazing sight, Sacre Coeur is well worth the climb, the views are truly stunning. Have fun.

Contact the US Attorney Generals Office and demand they take appropriate action regarding these postal incompetents! Tell them you want charges to be initated immediately! You can't expect the very same agency that caused the problem to be responsible enough to solve it and correct it!

Go to the post office and fill out a card. It takes 10 minutes at most. Some postmen/women have this with them and will bring it in for you.

I'm not so sure that royal mail will hold your mail whilst away but it is certainly worth asking. Be sure to ask how much it costs if they do.
