Yes but I think it was because we were never forced to eat them. Also I grew up on a Farm so fresh ones were always available. Never ate the ones out of the cans. Now that I am older, I realize how good we had it. Once you eat fresh veggies you can't handle the can ones. THey have no taste left except for all the salt added.

Yes,we were lucky to get a proper tea on the table when we walked in. my dad was a long distance lorry driver and we always got good food put on the table. We always had to eat what we was given, and my parents worked hard to provide it....not like today, people are to picky, and to much food gets thrown away, it's wrong really. I don't turn my nose up at anything, cos I was brought up properly.

I can't remember that far back but my 20month old daughter's favourite food is peas!! She loves all vegetables and fruit which is great - no worries about her diet. People do think it's wierd but I think it might be cos she has never had chocolate or sweets. Snacks are fruit or raisins. I know I can't stop her eating sweets forever but in the meantime she's really enjoying a balanced nutritious diet.

As a toddler(2 or 3), I loved sprouts to a point where I would crawl on the dinner table pinching them from family members. Now they make me heave.

I hated tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, asparagus, olives, string beans to name a few. I like tomatoes and garlic now but still don't like the others. I love sweetcorn, carrots, onions, peppers and potatoes done anyway - mashed, roast, boiled, etc. Could eat them with every meal!

I grew up on a farm and we raised our own fresh vegetables and my mother and grandmother "really" knew how to cook them. They were delicious. Fresh blackeyed peas, turnips and turnip greens, fryed okra, and homegrown tomatoes were all a treat! People are so use to the canned stuff these days and no one knows how to cook anything. No wonder kids don't like veggies anymore.
