OEM version- comes only with a new PC (or PC component in some cases), meaning if you change the computer's hardware configuration you loose the OEM license.
Retail version- Same as OEM version, but it doesn't depend on the PC components, though you can install it only on one computer only
Corporate version- Same as Retail version, but you can install it on more then one computer.
Retail and OEM are available at any computer store to buy, but Corporate version isn't. YOu'll have to contact microsoft if you want this option.

You can only install windows XP or XP Pro on one computer. And you can only restore that computer, a total of three times before, you have to ask Microsoft permission to install the fourth.

legally it can be online installed on one machine at a time, sorry.

also, corporate edition, the site licensing doesnt count for friends and families and only businesses with legitimate reasons can purchase the corporate edition. you cant just buy a site license (which are insanely expensive anyways) and give it to everyone you know

Tuea also said that you can only reinstall it 3 times -- this is not true. You can reinstall it as many times as you would like, and nothing in the eula says you cannot, so long as its only used on one pc.

It is possible but it's illegal. You may also want to buy a copy that comes with a coupon for free upgrade to Vista when it comes out Jan 31st 07.
