The American people understand that talk of amnesty by some in our government as our wide-open borders are compromised by thousands daily is irresponsible and causes a tsunami of illegal entry into this country by those seeking to get in under the wire to take advantage of the offer of amnesty.
As these numbers grow in volume and scope, the international criminal cartels gain even more control over our border frontiers, the black market underground swells with document fraud and identity theft, and the drug and contraband turf wars accelerate. More gang violence erupts in our cities by murderous thugs such as MS-13, the ruthless gang of self-professed friends of al Qaeda who, by our own government’s estimation, number in the tens of thousands in cities across America. National security and public safety demand that we make securing our borders combined with serious interior enforcement the first and most urgent priority of Homeland Security. This is not rocket science. It is time for our politicians to hear what the people are saying to them: Secure our borders now! No amnesty.

OH???? deadly Terrorists are strolling around the border?????? Oh my god, lock up the virgins!!!! If it particularly is particularly happening and you have some records that something of the rustic does no longer have then you certainly ought to call the appropriate government. BTW, i'm against the proposed immigration legislature yet i'm bored with individuals procuring into hysteria... if it grew to become into rather uncomplicated to breach the borders then issues could have already surpassed off. each and all of the Al-Quaeda operatives that hijacked planes on 9/11 have been right here legally.

No. If they can't follow even the first law of this country and come here legally why should they be granted amnesty? Ship them back and close the gate. Refuse them food stamps, refuse them free healthcare, refuse them jobs. If we would refuse them all of the reasons why they want to come here we wouldn't need a border fence, but our government is so afraid of offending someone they let them do whatever they want.

At the rate our southern borders are, I don't think so. That wall is going be like the China Wall or the Berlin Wall. This mess is going take another century to open the border between Mexico and the United States. We as American citizen's have become prejudice about Mexico.

Hell no. I can tolerate a guest worker program. But open borders is a threat to our national security and war on drugs. Who in their right mind will want that? That is not going to happen.

No, even the Democrats will realize this would be political suicide. Further, they are trying to put forth a more "centrist" message, and you can bet that the liberalist pro-illegal propaganda will suffer for it. Let's be real. No politician cares about citizens or non-citizens, they care about job security. And I didn't see any of those angry pro-illegals at the polls when I voted on election day. In fact, turnout was extremely low in my area, which is majority hispanic.

This is by far the most likely outcome for both political and practical reasons unless something like George Bush's plan can be enacted.
Now that the Dems control Congress maybe they can all get off the dime and do SOMETHING about this problem!

Probably so but I think that that was coming, anyway. No matter who won the elections. We should have expected it.
