Ok, so my best friend is a girl (i'm a guy) we are 15 (mature) and have known each other for 2 years. Recently-for about the last two weeks- she has been asking for hugs alot, almost every day, and keeps saying she loves me. She had never done either of these before. But the thing is, she has a boyfriend (16), so I dont know what is up with the hugging etc. all of a sudden. I like her more than a friend and I have to tell her (I will wait till she breaks up with the guy), but I want to know, why might she be getting more touchy so much so quickly? If I am walking her home she puts her arm around me, and the other day I just made the flippant comment; hey, the cat's giving me a back rub, none of ye are that nice (to a group of friends) and she said "I'd give you a back rub". I find this behaviour odd since she has a bf (she isnt like this infront of him).

She's giving you hints to flirt back with her. In other words she's trying to find out if youlike her like that too. If she really liked her boyfriend then she wouldn't be doing that trust me, unless she's a little flirt then keep away, those just want to break guys hearts. But find out and flirt back with her and talk to her and try to see if she wants to be with you, try it, talk to her and see whats up. I thin she likes you, and wants you to step up your game and be a man and show her that you like her too. You know what I mean. That's the only way she'll find out you like her too.

She must like you more than a friend or she is playing with your feelings. I would not think she would be playing you since she has know you for so long and you have been friends. She would not act that way in front of her bf if she was still with him. At this point you are going to have decide if you want to be more than friends. If you do, you need to tell her you like her more than a friend and would like to move to a new level or would like to date her. But she must break up with the bf first if she feels the same way. Remember once you cross the line things will never be the same. You must decide if you want to risk just being friends. She is sending you a message of wanting more. Tell her how you feel. Iwould say she is interested but somone may be holding her back, do not say anything to her just act normal and one day she might kiss u, or maybe she needs for u to love her spiritually..listen to her and be a real friend and not just her boyfriend cause i am going to tell u u r higher on the list that her boyfriend...

i would just ask her casually like so whats with being so touchy feely all of the sudden? she most likely likes you or has a crush on you. but she shouldnt be doing that when she has a boyfriend because thats rude to him and leading you on. also you have to think if she is like that with you and not in front of her boyfriend what if you go out with her and she does that with other guys?

Maybe she is weighting your reaction to her current boyfriend. Most likely her current boyfriend isn't as receptive of her physical actions towards him. IE: he doesn't appreciate what she does for him. So be receptive back to her and if you feel it wouldn't be over stepping any lines with her...give her back what she gives to you and you might be her newest man.
Trust me at your ages her first boyfriend will not be her last.

tthis isnt unusaual maybe shes having trouble with her relationship and wants youu to be there for her more now because she needs her friend there for her. maybe ask her why shes hugging you more now !! i give all my friends (boys) hugs and i have a boy-friend theres nothing unusaul about this all girls do it more and more these days

Maybe he is pressering her to do stuff she doesn't want & is being clinging to u to help her. or she could be liking you. if he is 16 why isn't he taking her home from school?
