They won't wait and there will be a terrible bloodbath. Remember Vietnam? The liberals then whined, cried, rioted and stamped their feet and got us out of Nam. What followed was a nasty bloodbath. Didn't hear a peep out of them when the bodies started piling up. Don't bother listening when they pull the troops out of Iraq and the killing starts. They will turn their heads again and pretend it isn't happening.

Just because Americans want to see our troops fighting for a real goal, doesn't mean every last soldier is coming home.
There is going to be a very uncomfortable process that Americans will have to go through to get to the point of realization that this was a momentous mistake. The hell with laying blame, we don't have the luxury of time to argue anymore.

I sure hope the learn from the 1st Gulf fiasco when the troops were pulled out before they got the job completed !!
Politicians had thier chance thru "diplomacy" and failed.
Once the decision to send the Military in, at least allow them the dignity to get the job done completely before pulling them out.

They won't pull them out. I'm against the war but I'm a realist who knows that if we pull out immediately we might as well give weapons to the terrorists. They would take over and kill all the civilians. I think the partition of Iraq is better, but we have to do it gradually. I don't think we should stay until complete democracy is obtain (most likely democracy won't happen). Utopianism got us into the war and realism has to get us out.

If we wait for things to be "under control", you will be long dead as will I and most of the troops. Let's try to save some lives!

I'd like to be one of the first that goes to my local airport to welcome some of them home. No real offense, but things may never be IN CONTROL there, but we weren't there to generally help. The admin. was however exerting an extreme power show. It took very little sense to send over 2000 young people to their deaths, undeservedly, and certainly wastefully.
Good point Stephanie, but it's closer to 10 million in just single bombing runs.

They will either follow the course Bush has set, with perhaps some minor changes, or they will pull out and leave a bloodbath.
Sense? Democrats? Sense and Democrates is an oxymoron.
