I agree with Christina...
If you use them so much you should know better than anyone.
The only part of the question that isn't totally sad it the 'Which do you think is best?' part... But like I said you seem to be more informed than most.
Which do you prefer and how often... really?
Maybe it's just your wording but it seriously does come across as slightly well, mundane. I think it is your wording.
It's the difference between saying
Cotton, Nylon, etc... Which do you prefer for socks? How often do you wear socks? Which brand do you think is best?
or saying...
I do long distance running. Which brand or socks do you suggest I wear and what fabric is best to let my feet breath? If you are a runner yourself can you tell me why please?
See... one question is totally loserville and the other not really.
May I suggest with Christmas just around the corner you request that Santa brings you a sat nav. If you need directions that bad then surely it makes sense.
With online maps it depends which country you are in. The AA is totally rubbish for the UK... that much I do know!

I use Yahoo maps. I dont like Mapquest - we missed a wedding because the directions had us going the wrong way!!!!
