The wax might not have been hot enough. I don't wax my underarms. I use Veet instead. It makes them smooth, and lasts longer than shaving.

The hair has to be at least a quarter of an inch long in order to effectively wax it, and it does seem that the underarm hair has slightly tougher roots than other hair on the body. You might try letting it grow for a few weeks, and having a friend or female relative help you wax it. It is difficult to do by yourself since the skin needs to be taut, the wax spread evenly, and the waxing strip removed quickly.

You can wax your armpits, it's possible, but it huts like hell. For one thing your hair needs to be a quarter of an inch long. Then you need to apply the wax in the direction of hair growth. After that apply the strip, pull your skin taught and tight, and rip it off. Repeat. I recommend GET IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY you don't know what you are doing.

Underarm hair grows in several different directions! It's hard to see for yourself that's why it helps for someone to do it for youu. For most people it takes 3-5 pulls under each arm. You pull against the direction of hair growth so you have to ascertain different patterns. If hairs are long it's hard to see for yourself. They also can't be too short cos coarse hairs need to be longer for removal. I find warm/hot wax works better there too.

Yeah that sucks, it might be the pit hair isn't long enough, but I am pretty sure its because that's a hard angle to get to and you are only using one arm. Baby oil will remove the excess wax, but I would have either a friend help you, or go to a salon and have it done.

I saw them using duct tape on television to remove someones excess body hair in a salon. Apparently duct tape has many uses. If duct tape doesn't work, you can try Gorilla tape.
If that still doesn't work, you could try escalating to two-part epoxy, let it dry and yank. Devcon makes a 2-Ton Epoxy that I am fond of for my household tasks, but chunks of skin are likely to come off also.
To be realistic, I recommend going to a salon for your own happiness and safety.
