God believers lead me to believe that most of your beliefs are fear based

Why? Because they say it all the time

They say, "If i'm wrong, I have nothing to lose but if you're wrong, you burn in hell"

If you believed in your own intellect, your fears would fade away and your choice of belief wouldn't be fear based

You're wrong my belief is not fear based. I believe in God because he loves me that is what drew me to him. If I'm wrong, and I know that I am not wrong, and I go all the way through to the end of this life and find out that there is nothing after that then I wouldn't have lost anything.

Your way of belief in intellect is not good enough for me because I didn't create myself, I therefore cannot promise my self anything that I am not able to deliver on. What I can't deliver on is where and what's going to be my fate upon death. But my faith and trust in God and I have his promise of eternal life with him in Heaven upon death. I believe God because he is not a man that he should lie.

No, with me it really doesn't have anything to do with fear, but rather motivation. I think no matter what I do in this life wherever I end up it will be better. I also think we should be more concerned with the ultimate reward/blessing as opposed to the punishment. I make choices because I believe God has provided a path, and if we follow that path life will be easier; if we follow the path we will be free from the chains this world can bind us with, and thereby we are more free to chose the direction we will take.

We aren't afraid of the things around us, we have a fear of God because He is the Almighty. Who wouldn't fear the God who created the universe? Our choice of belief is not fear based, it's love based. and our fears do fade away when we trust in God to help us through them. But God isn't all about fear, He's so much more: love, patience, grace, peace, etc, etc, etc........ While it is true that we are forgiven of all sin, we still try to lead righteous lives. As for those who don't believe, yes, I do believe they will burn in Hell because that is the destination for those that have not put their faith in God.

I believe that God's intellect far exceeds mine (or yours, or anyone's).

I suggest that the "if" is up to the applicable person. "If it turns out (which it will not) that I am wrong, then I have nothing to lose, but if you're wrong (which you are, unless you choose otherwise), you live for eternity without God."

I don't use the expression because people interpret the "if" as doubt of God's sovereignty instead of a condition based on the result of where a person places their beliefs.

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The objective isn't to "believe", but "know": John 8:32.
Know-ing makes you "free" of believe-ing every spirit.
For even d-evils "believe": James 2:19

And "safe" is least of 3 things: safe->safer->safest.

Not to mention what "they say" in 1Thessalonians 5:3.
It is notably either justified or condemned in: Mt 12:37.
Destruction: on them who say peace & safety in law.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

A follower of Christ should not live in fear of anything. Christ taught us to live our lives free of worry and fear.

Followers of Christ are supposed to be love based, not fear based.

I can't speak for any other religion.

Hello Black Atheist.. :)

My beliefs are heart based not based on fear..for perfect Love casteth out all fear..Jesus is Perfect Love.. :)

Because His Love Has set me Free..

Jesus means the world to me..
Because His Love has set me Free..
Not to fear the way I used to do..
But to walk with Him and be renewed..
His Love, I can never repay..
For the terrible pain He suffered that day..
Not for Himself did He die..
But for Everyone He was crucified..
So please don't turn your backs to the Savior's cry..
It wasn't just for me..
But for YOU, He died..

The Lord gave me this poem in 1978..

Now I am sharing it with you.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)
