In 1880, an English scientist named Henry Faulds stated in an article published in Nature that the fingerprints of people did not change throughout their lives, and that suspects could be convicted by the fingerprints they left on surfaces such as glass. In 1884, for the first time a murder was solved by means of identifying fingerprints. Since then, fingerprints have become an important method of identification. Before the 19th century, however, people most probably had never thought that the wavy shapes on their fingertips had any meaning or considered them worthy of note.

In the 7th century, the Qur'an pointed out that the fingertips of human beings bore an important characteristic:

Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? Yes, We are able to put together in perfect order the VERY TIPS OF HIS FINGERS. (Surat al-Qiyama, 3-4)

How and where did Prophet Muhammad obtain this imformation? NOBODY in his era knew the importance of fingerprint.

Isn't this quite disingenuous? If the verse were talking about a way of identifying a living human being, then perhaps you'd have a point, though a very strained one at that.

But, isn't this verse about whether one has a body or not in paradise? And isn't it saying that the body is, effectively, put back together, from the head to the tips of the toes..... or fingers?

You've taken words and then forced them on to something that is utterly non-applicable. Isn't that a sin?

That simply means that the entirety can be put together, as in all the way to their fingertips. These vague prophecies always make me laugh.

Edit:Now if it had stated something about individual fingertips being different that would be a little more astonishing and provide some credit for your 'prophecy'. LMAO, still.

Edit2: The devil? Who are you talking to? Mine is the only answer and that never even came up.

Muhammad, if in fact that was his focus, was making a simple observation. It isnt much different than the Bible making references to the splendors of nature or the abilities of mankind. Simple observation has been around for centuries, however that is only the 1st step in the scientific method.

There are many more, If you would like I can help you find more.

[010:054] And if every person who had wronged (by disbelieving in Allâh and by worshipping others besides Allâh) possessed all that is on the earth and sought to ransom himself therewith (it will not be accepted), and they would feel in their hearts regret when they see the torment, and they will be judged with justice, and no wrong will be done to them.

[010:055] No doubt, surely all that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allâh. No doubt, surely Allâh's Promise is true. But most of them know not.

[010:056] It is He Who gives life and causes death, and to Him you (all) shall return.

[010:057] O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'ân, enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences) which is in your breasts, – a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things) for the believers.

[010:058] Say: "In the bounty of Allâh, and in His Mercy (i.e. Islâm and the Qur'ân); – therein let them rejoice." That is better than what (the wealth) they amass.

[010:059] Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] to these polytheists): "Tell me, what provision Allâh has sent down to you! And you have made of it lawful and unlawful." Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "Has Allâh permitted you (to do so), or do you invent a lie against Allâh?"

[010:060] And what think those who invent a lie against Allâh, on the Day of Resurrection? [i.e. Do they think that they will be forgiven and excused! Nay, they will have an eternal punishment in the fire of Hell.] Truly, Allâh is full of bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful.

[010:061] Neither you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) do any deed nor recite any portion of the Qur'ân, nor you (O mankind) do any deed (good or evil) but We are Witness thereof when you are doing it. And nothing is hidden from your Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom (or small ant) on the earth or in the heaven. Not what is less than that or what is greater than that but is (written) in a Clear Record. (Tafsir At-Tabarî)
