Yuckler this one is especially for you! People seem to get easily brainwashed by films they see on the internet and believe it s true especially if its against another religion and they don't even want to have dialogue with another person to discuss differences (not allowing others to email them) and just for the record the prophet Muhammad was not a paedophile people in arabia at that time got married at young ages the wife you are refering to which he got married to was going to marry someone else but the guy changed his mind because she became a muslim and he wasnt a muslim. also in one american state the legal age to get married is 12.

A person who is brainwashed doesn't have free will. They may THINK that they do, but in reality, they do not.

You cannot have free will if the reasoning you are using to make your 'free' thinking decisions are tainted.

urgh! i can't stand when people call Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) a paedophile. I don't care if it is illegal in certain countries to be with someone under a certain age, that's just a stupid man made law. In Islam, even a 9 yr old can marry a 60 year old, it only sounds disgusting because in the modern world, there are legal age limits and people are used to them and so they think it is wrong to do so. Just ignore them people. They just find any excuse to say something about Islam.

AND...I'm pretty sure the Prophet (pbuh) did not sleep with her (I think her name was Aysha) until she was older.

Brainwashing, also known as thought reform or re-education, is the application of coercive techniques to change the beliefs or behavior of one or more people usually for political or religious purposes. Whether any techniques at all exist that will actually work to change thought and behavior to the degree that the term "brainwashing" connotes is a controversial and at times hotly debated question.

I think you mean influenced. Some people are easily influenced.

So, a girl of 6 who was given in marriage chose her life? children that young aren't capable of making decisions. And about his marryingwomen, He has 2 men murdered so he could legally have sex with their wives. Choosing to not believe the bad along with the good about anything is self-brainwashing, albiet, assisted by the parents and religious leaders . And continually saying that real muslims wouldn't do the things the quran tells them to do is just lieing to yourself. Do you know how many times your religious documents tell you to slay all infidels and non believers. I've personally remembered 5 and I only read the book once.

I wouldnt call this "brainwashing". People will believe what feels comfortable to them, or makes sense to them. This includes making ignorant statements or taking uninformed stances.
