This is quite common practice with Ayurvedic Medicine. Ayurevda dates backs 1000's of years ago before traditional medicine as we know it had even begun to be researched.

The Ananda Spa in the Himalayas has got an Ayurvedic Physician. Log onto www. anandaspa.com or contact the Ayurvedic clinic in London to learn more about this type of practice and detox regimes....good luck!!

Salt in water is not a good idea. The people on the program that y'all watched, they had 4 different detox regiments to follow, by trained pros.

Most detox diets don't involve weird or unhealthy foods, simply fresh and whole foods like fruits and vegetables. Eat plenty of fresh fruit, (except grapefruit). Enzymes in grapefruit interfere with the proper functioning of enzymes in the liver, so they should not be used during detox diets.

i saw this programme a few years back. can't remember what it was called but it was horrendous. the people were hallucinating and being sick everywhere. in between all this happening they were at the toilet with severe diarrhoea. if it is the same programme you really DON'T want to try it. if you really want to detox then buy something from Boots the Chemist

If you drank a salty solution, you'd have to have guts of steel to digest it without being extremely sick. I would stick to more conventional methods such as healthy eating, lots of fruit and veg and regular exercise.

The drink used was most likely a purge drink that hospitals supply to you before a endoscope check , it clears the stomach right out, you could ask the chemist if you can buy from there

overdosing on salt is very dangerous as the kidneys will not be able to flush this level of intake & could lead to perminante damage it will also make you extremly ill so don't do it.
how old are you by the way?

Be better off seeing your doctor rather than asking on here because too much salt can be harmful, even lethal.
