Hopefully you have a "Haverty's" in your town or close by. (USA)
They have excellent furniture. I have bought from them for years. Good, quality furniture. Remember..."You get what you pay for".
They are mainly in the south and southeast. Home based in Atlanta, Georgia. Check the website for stores. www.havertys.com

A used furniture store might be the way to go. Some older furniture (solid wood) is of much higher quality than the average(particle board) offered today. Some of the antique shops have reasonably priced hard goods at times. Don't be afraid to dicker with used furniture vendors. Good luck.

If you don't want to replace it every couple of years it is worth it to spend a little extra because if you go cheaper you will end up spending more in the long run than if you went with the good furniture.

depends on where you live... Ashley home furnishings is good... Furniture World is good... Look for an Outlet Mall in your area that sells furniture, you can get it for about 1/2 price aat those.
