I shave my head every three days or so since I have thick hair and can't find a proper style that I like to fix it. I don't mind shaving my head. What really bothers me is the razor bumps i get afterward on the top part of my neck. I've already used a different kind of razor and shaving cream but I still get those irritating bumps not only do they look unatractive but they burn like heck. can someone recommend what to do. And dont say get a new style. or quit shaving your head.

take your time shaving. rushing creates bumps
the best thing is letting the area soak before hand so its nice and soft. maybe taking a bath to soak it?

I know this sounds strange...but white deodorant that goes on clear can help...at least it can in the bikini area. You just apply it after shaving. It's not foolproof, but I've worked on and off in a profession that necessitated frequent shaving and that is one of the tricks the girls use. I'm really not sure if it would be as effective on the head.

Make sure that the razor is wet. A lot of times if you use a dry one, it will crate bumps.

Try a professional speed clipper, it would be kinder to your scalp.
