beside massaging the scalp, neck, forehead and a bath ..
I suggest:
Avoid bright light.
Avoid loud noises.
Drink plenty of water.
Try Excedrin Migraine formula (which is just a combination of aspirin, acetaminophen, and caffeine, but it works better for me than any of the heavy-duty prescription drugs I've tried in the past).
If sleeping isn't an option due to the pain, go for even more caffeine. I recommend hot coffee or espresso, no sugar.
Red Bull either makes everything somewhat better or much, much worse. Some people swear by it, though.
A doctor once recommended filling the kitchen sink with hot water and then submerging my arms up to elbows for as long as I could stand it. This is only effective for me before the headache gets bad, but when it works, it works like magic. I don't know why.
Baths seem to help, although showers are effective, too.
Massaging the points mentioned is good - but it works much better if you can get someone else to do it so you can relax your neck muscles more.
Do NOT watch the movie Pi
My grandma swears by this stuff called BC. You can find it at Publix - its usually on the bottom shelf under all the asprins, etc. Its a plain looking white box with blue trim.. It just says BC on the box then Fast Pain Relief.
My cousins wife get serious migranes and last time she was in Florida - she didn't have her medication. she got a real bad migrane and my grandma gave her this stuff - and it worked. Its old skool.. this stuff was created in 1906.
Its powder form so you can mix it with anything.. its tasteless.
If grandma says it works, then it works.
Here's their website so you can see what the box looks like. I think its real cheap too like $3 or $4 bucks:
i hope i solved your problem especially with the last one

I used to work with a girl that got migraines almost daily as well. It turned out after testing and diet changes that caffeine was her trigger....so she had to eliminate all caffeine from her diet at first. Watch taking Excedrin...it has a lot of caffeine in it and could actually make your migraine worse.
Get with a good doctor and find out what your "trigger" is. You may need a complete eye exam as well. Good luck.
