Yes, but it will be different. you will need a cage that is off the floor but not one that can be turned over by the cat. The cat should not be able to be up near the cage at any time. The two don't mix well, but as long as the bird doesn't feel threatened by the cat it will be fine. They do it in pet stores. Just don't let the bird be in a position where it is fearful and adgitated because of the cat. Cover the bird at night and make sure the cat can't get the cover off while you are sleeping. you just have to think it out and do it right. If you aren't willing to do what it takes then don't bother trying it. Just deal with one.

Yes,
but make sure that neither the bird nor the cat feel like their territory is being taken over.
Let each have their own space.
And i dont think you should just leave the bird out randomly if you are not home, or there to watch them.
Sometimes its best just to temporarily put the cat in a seperate room while you handle the bird. Or vise versa.. you could have a bird in its own room!
Good luck.

absolutely! You do need to take necessary precautions though. For instance, my birds have a room all to themselves which is religiously kept free of my three cats.

If I want to take the birds out to other parts of my home, I put the cats away for a short time. Just be dilligent and spend money on a secure cage. Just in case.

Yes, mine were in the same house together. Cat learned to stay away from bird. Bird got on top of cat's head. They were friends. I just made sure they stayed friends by putting my parakeet in his cage if I left home, and also let the cat out.

Can't tell what your cat and bird will do.
