I have known this girl since I was in 7th grade, and now we are in our senior year in high school. Back in 7th and 8th grade she tried to talk to me sometimes and she always smiled at me, but it's only now that I realize she was probably interested in me. (I know I'm such a dork) Now I have been interested in her awhile now, but as I have not talked to her since I was in 8th grade, I don't know how to randomly start a conversation with her. Sh is only in one of my classes and I don't like yelling across the room, which is what I would have to do, as she sits in the back and I sit in the front. So I would like to know how I should approach her.

The good news is that you have an icebreaker in that- a good one !
Talk to her as you leave or enter the classroom, ask her how she is doing, talk about the hoomework or an upcoming test. Talk about how many classes you used to share as compared to now which is jusy the one-
talk about plans after school,college, extra-curricuar stuff, sports? clubs?- work into the social life thing andfeel her out
You will do fine- smile, don't say TOO MUCH ! Be honest with her and yourself- GOOD LUCK

well carl, the only thing you really can do is start with hi... Ask her how she is doing, its all just thinking of small talk. "whats up? how you been, haven't talk to you in awhile" stuff like that. Be casual, "hay, wanna see a movie sometime?" Whats the worst thing she'll say? No.... at least you won't be wondering what if, your heart will be set at ease, no matter what answer she gives you. Its scary, but if she says yes, imagine how great you'll feel. We all face "no" answers all our lives, but those few that are "yes" make up for it. You gotta live everyday the best you can, because we never know if there is a tomorrow, and having regrets suck. You're still young, if she doesn't like you, I bet there are other girls that do, you just aren't opening your eyes to it.

There's no magic approach to this. There's really not much you can do to get around having to walk up to her and strike up a conversation since you two aren't sitting close together enough that it probably won't happen casually. You'll just have to put forth a great deal of will power, shrug off your nervousness, and just do it.

Just walk on up to her and ask her how things have been, if she's doing all right, just general stuff. Then tell her you've missed talking to her and would like to be friends again, i'm sure she'll be flattered in the interest. Good Luck!

See if you can sit near her sometime...and just causually comment on something that's going on...or something that happened(maybe a test or whatever). The trick is to get the girl to start talking and you sit back and listen...women love to talk...so if you can get her started on something, just agree, nod your head...add a bit here and there, ask a question, etc.

Breath mints help. Talk to her, ask her how she is doing, saying hi, as you causally stroll by her desk, DON"T BE A DORK! Find out what she likes and be knowledgeable about the subject. Be yourself.

look, your a senior now...half way to becoming a real man....and the only way your gonna get there is by giving yourself some room to make mistakes. let yourself go and walk up to her and just hello....sometimes a simple "hello, how have you been?" is all it takes to get things going in the right direction.

before or after class just go up to her and just say Hi, or ask her how her day is... girl's love that.... or start talking about something that happened in class that day, that will definetly get a conversation going, I hope it works out for you
