My girlfriend said she needs some space, is she in the process of dumping me?

My girlfriend has recently asked for some space after (what I thought) was a great and happy year of being together.

Is she in the process of dumping me? What are the chances she will come back to me?

if she's mentioned it, then she'll get it. Women normally get what they want, otherwise, they get difficult to deal with. Let's stay positive, maybe she just needs some space. Let her go, if she comes back to you, she's yours, otherwise, was never meant to be. In the meanwhile, try and focus on some other areas in your life.

It depends how much she misses you. Maybe she wants to test to see how much she really likes you. Either she will miss you a lot and come running back, or not. No one can say for sure what will happen, it depends on her and her feelings for you. The best thing you could do would be to give her some space so she has a chance to miss you. I have to admit that doesn't sound good. She's definitely having some reservations. I know if I said that to a guy it would be because I wasn't interested in him anymore for whatever reason. OR maybe she's having problems with something that you are doing and she just can't express herself. I know I've said this to a guy when I became too scared to get closer to him.
I would ask her to be honest with you and that you can handle whatever she has to say. Don't force anything. If she wants you she will realize that she's making a mistake and come back to you whether you decide to give her space or not. Good luck!

Yes she is busy exploring other avenues and don't let anyone tell you different.Please do not wait while she is busy go ahead and meet other people so when or rather if she does not come back the fall will not hurt so much as if you were not seeing someone else and waiting for her .The word space in a relationship just means I need time to explore with other people to be 100% sure you are the one.Experienced brother

She may just need some space to think about things. It may not necessarily be you. She may also be scared since your relationship seems to be pretty serious. I would just give her time. My boyfriend dumped me and then realized it was a huge mistake and now we happily celebrating our 3 year anniversary.
