a debit card has a Visa or Mastercard logo making it able to be used just like a credit card. An atm is able to do that as well but only at places that dont require your card to have a credit card logo on it...in other words, the debit card will be accepted more places than just an ATM card.

an atm card is for people that have savings accounts. and the atm card allows you to go to an atm (your banks or any other for a fee), and withdraw up to $300 from it. A debit card is the same as an atm card with respect to withdrawing monies. however you can use it to pay for things like you would a credit card, but the amount is subtracted from your checking account. which you have to have to obtain a debit card. you can withdraw the same as with a regular atm card.

when u use a debit card or the PEN all u pay for is what you wrote down. when u use an atm card or the PIN you pay for the wire transaction that takes place, more simply u pay for using the machine in some way, and what your doing on it. like withdrawing.

AN ATM CARD CAN ONLY BE USED AT AN ATM. WHEREAS A DEBIT CARD CAN BE USED AT THE ATM TO MAKE CASH WITHDRAWALS OR IT CAN BE USED IN STORES AND GAS STATIONS TO MAKE PURCHASES AS LONG AS THAT STORE EXCEPTS CREDIT CARDS. AN ATM CARD CAN BE USED TO MAKE CASH WITHDRAWALS OR DEPOSITS TO YOUR ACCOUNT. YOU CAN ALSO CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCES WITH EITHER CARD.
