Here are several home remedies that work well: 1. Baking soda and warm water, take a larger glass, and gargle/swish in the area of the affected tooth. Repeat as often as the pain begins to return. 2. Clove oil (or eugenol) is very strong and very effective at numbing the area of the toothache. It works much better than just using anbesol or orajel. In the same area of the drug store where you find anbesol, if you other liquid medications, check to see what the active drug is, because a few of them use eugenol. This has been my savior many times. 3. This might sound odd, but putting oregano on your tooth, will help. Oregano has some sort of antibacterial properties. If you can find oil of oregano from your nature store, that works the best, but it is expensive. I always accompany all of these remedies by taking ibprofen as well. Hope your pain goes away soon.

Brufen (Ibuprofen) is good because it reduces inflammation and toothache always involves gum inflammation. Oil of cloves is a good antibactrial agent to dab on the area but the best thing of all is to see your dentist and soon! Always take Brufen having had some food or milk as it can cause stomach ulceration.

see a dentist as soon as possible - but till then, put a drop of oil of cloves on it, or a drop of Melaleuka oil ( tastes bad, but works). Toothache drops are also available at the drugstore. Don't eat anything really sweet . If it is the gum, not the tooth, use
the stuff for babies that are teething, it numbs the gum.

If you have a hole in your tooth go to the chemist and buy a temperary filling. If you are wondering what the hell a temperary filling is.It is a pink cream that you rub in the hole of your tooth. It is just the same as a real filling but does not last as long .If you have anything other than a hole in your tooth I would say go to the dentist.I hope my answer was of a help to you.If you have any more Q type your Q because I will allways be here.

Try Syndol, really powerful painkiller has codine in it. Anadin does not work...so don't go there. I have already tried and tested it for toothache.
