You did not specify whether they are sharing a room. If they are in separate rooms, then I say the boy room can be a light grey or light blue. The girl room can be a light lavendar, mint green, or light yellow. If they are sharing a room then I would say a color scheme that includes, red, yellow,and blue like the pic below.

A color scheme for boys and girls together is hard especially at this age what you want to do is paint it a regular white! Have them choose their own decorations as far as if your daughter wants colorfull daisy's then you would defaenetly want to look into a room divider so they have their own space.

Are they sharing a room? If so, put up a curtain in the middle of the room, or accordion doors, so they each have their own space and decorate each half differently...like pink for your daughter and blue for your son, or whatever cartoon characters that they are into.
