If you left on good terms, and you still care for each other, it can be ok. But it depends. Why did you break up in the first place? Could the reason you broke up come into play again? What are you expecting out of that relationship?
Make sure your expectations are realistic, and that you know what you are getting in to. Talk with him, get verything out in the open, and make sure you aren't just acting on feelings (cause feelings can change overnight).

Someone once told me an ex is an ex for a reason. If however you think you can resolve whatever broke you up to begin with and that you can start afresh and completely wipe out the past then go for it.

How can you leave on good terms? Statistically it won't work out unless that issue has been completely resolved and 99.99% of the time it hasn't....because people don't change situations do.

It's a definite yes; mainly because you know so much of each other that you don't need to go through lots of detective job to find bits and bobs of each other.

when you chuck away an old shoe, its cause it causes you discomfort or has come apart at the seams or something like that which renders it useless, try digging it out the bin and wearing it for a bit...and you'll see what i'm trying to say

I think you have to follow your heart. If you both want to give it a try and get back together then why not.
