Sometimes you can get "tester" sizes of paint. Try out the brown and see if you like it, then you don't have to invest in a whole can.

Stop! Don't paint the trim brown! I would suggest an off white color -- not stark white. Try Swiss Coffee at Kelly Moore Paint. It's a nice almost white, cream color. Dark trim other than natural wood is a big no-no.

Light green and chocolate brown looks nice together but I am not so sure how it would look with wall painting. I would say a off white color with the light green but as others have stated, go with what makes you happy.

Paint your trim whatever colour makes you happy but here's something you might want to condsider... when you paint your trim a dark colour the eye is naturally drawn to it and if your room is on the small side it may make it look even smaller. If your room is relatively large then go for it.

You can use any color you like. You might to want to get too dark and use flat finish paint on the walls and semi-gloss on the trim.

I think those are great colors together; you will probaly need 2 coats on the trim though..dark colors are better with 2 coats..
maybe you could even try some of those suede style paints they have!!
good luck!

If you want to add brown to this room I would do it in other ways. Paint the trim an off white or cream and add brown with pillows, candles, lamps, throws and other accessories.

You can paint trim any color your heart desires. It's your home.

White is usually safe but your choice seems visually interesting. This scheme can be pulled off with the right accesseries. Think through the whole room.

I have to agree with everyone else. Your home, your colors. The two colors together, though? Excellent choice. Neutral, earthy, calm. Go for it, it'll look great!
I have sage color furniture with chocolate window treatments and I love the colors together.
