I can't afford a TV license so I don't have a TV, we get letters through once every 4 months threatening to come and reposes our telly and you know, a load of rubbish. But honestly, life without a telly isn't too bad. We play cards, or read, and it really is amazing, I actually have long deep conversations with my boyfriend which we haven't done in a long time. Try it, it's only a month.

What if I don't need a licence for a whole year?
-
You still need to buy an annual licence. However, we can issue a refund for any full three-month (quarter) periods of cover not used should you stop using a TV and therefore no longer need a licence.
Which means you buy a 12 month license use it for 1 month & only get 9 month refund
it takes them longer than a month to tell you that you have forgot to renew your license, if you get my meaning

I know there is an option to pay your TV licence monthly, I don't know what you have to do to qualify for this but it could be worth looking into.. I would imagine that you have to pay monthly for a whole year but what can they do if you stop paying and you're not in the country?

Don't bother, seriously my uncle has been caught several times and if you get caught just explain how you didn't feel you'd need one for 1 month. Seriously just take the risk, they'll never know! If you're not a dangerous criminal you could always go without watchin tv for a month but seriously, good luck with that!!

I believe you must pay your TV license
if you are using the set even for this short time .
you may claim ,some of the fee back ,when you go
alternatively , you could give up using your TV
altogether now .
Get rid of it ,
Then , quite legitimately ,you will NOT need to pay any fee .
I wish you well where ever you are going
good luck

No, never! My interior reach united states of america costs a cost to each companion and infants that owns a television/radio. In return, the favourite public television stations do not interrupt their programming for classified ads. in the nighttime (from 6pm-8pm), there are classified ads between exhibits yet that's it. No classified ads on the different time :)

Dont have a telly. Or say you havnt got one.
Auntie Beeb has lists of all those households that dont have a tv licence.I am on that list. But nor do i own a telly.I am not suggesting that you tell them that you dont.Nor am i suggesting that you own up to owning a TV.I hope you get my drift?
One month? lol.

Well, I went without one for years and they never caught me, so I doubt they'll catch you in a month! Just don't open the door and keep it out of sight of the window.

By the time it gets anywhere near court (if you did get caught which is very unlikely) you'll be long gone.
Just don't come back.lol

If you already have one and it has now run out you do have to buy another one if you intend to use your television however you will get a rebate back for what you have not used.
