The 14H seemed okay when we bought them, but after a few wears, he cans slide them off to take them off. I bought a 16 regular, he says they are okay but he had to squeeze them on.

Try Lee Brand. I don't know about the boy's version (my son's not that old yet), but they're good about making women's jeans in various sizes and cuts; could be true for the boys jeans too.

My brother had this problem until he hit puberty.

Invest in a belt, and/or a tailor.

Different brands often fit differently. Try different stores and sizes and brands.

mens 28x32, 30x30, 28x36 whatever he needs. Most mens jeans do the waist length thing. Sounds like he may be running out of kid sizes.
