Honey, it sounds like you could be bi-polar. Make an appointment with your family physician ASAP. Bi-polar can be very scary and if you have a very bad low, it can be dangerous. Get help right away and good luck.

It sounds like you're manic-depressive (also known as bipolar disorder). It can be very serious. Check out this link to the National Institute of Mental Health. And take care.

Bipolar disorder (previously known as Manic Depression) is a psychiatric diagnostic category describing a class of mood disorders in which the person experiences clinical depression and/or mania, hypomania, and/or mixed states. The disorder can cause great distress among those afflicted and those living with them. Left untreated, bipolar disorder can be a disabling condition, with a high risk of death through suicide.

The difference between bipolar disorder and unipolar disorder (also called major depression) is that bipolar disorder involves both elevated and depressive mood states. The duration and intensity of mood states varies widely among people with the illness. Fluctuating from one mood state to the next is called "cycling". Mood swings can cause impairment or improved functioning depending on their direction (up or down) and severity (mild to severe). There can be changes in one's energy level, sleep pattern, activity level, social rhythms and cognitive functioning. Some people may have difficulty functioning during these times.

Suicidal symptoms include:

Talking about feeling suicidal or wanting to die
Feeling helpless and hopeless
Feeling like a burden to family and friends
Feeling one has no purpose
Worrying about death and dying
Having visions of oneself dead
Abusing alcohol or drugs
Putting affairs in order (for example, paying debts) or giving away possessions to prepare for one's death
A person with these symptoms (or anyone providing assistance to them) could do the following:

Call the person's doctor, emergency room, or the emergency telephone number right away to get immediate help
Make sure the suicidal person is not left alone
Make sure access to large amounts of medication, weapons, or other items that could be used, is taken away

Depends on your age. If you are in your teens I wouldn't worry about it unless it is MAJOR changes. Hormones will do that, it's normal. If you are late 20's or on, see your doc. You might be bipolar. That is an extreeem, but a posibility. Better to check it out now and know.

You sound by your description that you could be a manic-depressive, one whose highs are threw the roof and downs are the pits of dispair. It would do you a world of good to see a mental health professional to be evaluated.

bipolarism?
you might want to seek help with a therapist. there are prescription drugs that can help level you out.

depression really is something not be taken lightly and there is nothing wrong with seeking help for it or aquiring a dr prescribed drug for it.

good luck with that.

maybe you are bipolar. you should see someone if you are having feelings of suicide. It has always been my opinion that if you killed yourself all of your problems would work themselves out the next day. be patient. good luck.
